Artist First
Every production decision starts with the identity of the artist, then the sound is built around it.
About the Studio
We build records around people, not presets.
Studio Philosophy
A studio for songs with a point of view.
Brown String Records is an independent recording and music production space shaped for artists, singers, musicians, filmmakers, and collaborators who care about sound with character.
The work moves from raw idea to finished record through a focused process: understand the artist, protect the emotion, refine the arrangement, and polish the final sound without sanding away the human edge.
Philosophy
The choices behind the sound.
Detail Matters
From first mic choice to the final bounce, small decisions shape how a record feels.
Feel Over Noise
Technology stays in service of emotion. The goal is a record people want to return to.
